Congrats to Project Runway Set Aaron & the new Charlaine Harris novel!!
I took my weekend and barreled through season 7 of Project Runway (thanks to hulu)!
I love it when the one you're rooting for wins, so exciting. Truthfully, all of the top contestants were very talented and made me want to run out and buy a sewing machine..which I still might do.
Another one that I was very excited for was Richard Blaise from the recent Top Chef. I was squealing with excitement when he won recently.
Speaking of excitement, I went to the library today to pick up "The Hunger Games", which they didn't have because it's evidently really popular (stephanie & taylor suggested it :3), and during that process they told me they had BOTH items I requested a little while ago.
I've really been jonesing for the next Harris novel and I can't believe I have a copy, sitting on my couch, and I'm going to read it at no cost to me!
Libraries are such fantastic systems. I thank Thomas Jefferson for the wonderful ideas, as well as many other great ideas.
Going to Montecello was and is one of my favorite experiences, it's just so relaxing and beautiful. The garden alone is magnificent.
So I plan on starting the novel tomorrow and am really looking forward to it.
I also picked up "Swamplandia" a recently published book as well.
I think I'll wait till I read the first book of the series (I didn't realize it was the second one) before I dive into it.
Isn't the cover of it amazing? It really drew me in when Mom & Stephen were down here.
Other weekend accomplishments included my first ever home pedicure! I gave myself a little french pedicure look and I love it! It only cost my $15 dollars for everything and I can get so many pedicures from it. I LOVE saving money and still getting the same result.
Another thing I was a frugalista with was the sushi from Whole Foods. When craving a little Japanese adventure, Whole Foods is the spot! A spicy tuna avocado roll (all organic!) along with udon only cost me $10 total! No tipping or anything.
It really is exciting.
Well, I'm off to get ready for my next week of work.
I'm instilling in myself before I start to:
Relax and enjoy what I do
Get out and have evening activities
Watch a little less TV
Exercise a little more
Incorporate more stretching and yoga
Watch my food portions (I can pig a little)
Keep positive about EVERYTHING
Yes, I can get a little weak sometimes. I'm starting to really acknowledge that everybody does.
Just like training animals, you have your regression days and that's okay. You just have to realize that and keep pushing.
It takes a lot of courage to live and be out there.
I think it's saying something just to be where I am.
Here's to love for everyone out there. <3
